What we collect

Diaspora Updates collects standard analytics — pages viewed, referrer, broad geographic region, and browser type — to understand which stories resonate. We do not collect names, email addresses, or identifying information unless you supply them (for example, when you email a tip).

Cookies & storage

We use localStorage to remember your theme preference (light or dark) andsessionStorage to count an article view only once per browser session. We do not store identifying information in these.

Advertising

Articles may be surrounded by advertising. Ad networks may set their own cookies — see the respective networks' privacy policies for details. Editorial content is not influenced by advertisers.
